I currently own a 2016 Charger SXT RWD and want to make it faster and I was wondering what I can add to give it some more oomf.

Supercharger or turbo. Several companies make them and work great with with the car.

Stuff like throttle body, exhaust, air intake only make your wallet lighter.. (and the car sound better)

How much oomph are you looking for? Start out with ACES IV in the fuel and some QuantumBlue Lubricants in the engine. Our SRT8 picked up 19 hp and 31 ft lbs of torque with the QB HP Gold Coolant, ACES IV and our QB 12.5w40 Custom Blend Engine oils. When we went to the NAG1 5 speed and the differential we got a total of 25 hp and 38 ft lbs of torque. We picked up 3 tenths of a second, 2.5 mph and 2.5 more miles per gallon.

That is some pretty good numbers for cheap!:bigthumb:

If you can go the max speed limit in your state, I'm sure that's fast enough :) I mean, the fastest I've seen in the states is 85 and a Prius can go 85mph with no issues. My 2016 SXT AWD is stock and can get me around. Now if you wanna hit the track, I suggest a supercharger such as the RIPP superchargers for the 3.6L V6's. Supposedly they're faster than stock SRT's.

As an owner of two Chargers with the V-6 (one is now in the wrecking yard), I can say that FAST is not a way to describe a 4200 pound car with a 300 HP engine...quick, fun, sporty even, but never fast. I have modded both of mine and am perfectly happy with them, especially in light of the traffic I have to put up with in ABQ: on my commute to work I'm lucky if I get up to 45 mph more than one or twice..most of the time it is bumper-bumper at 15-20 mph and trying to avoid getting rear-ended by a moron yacking on a cell phone, so owning something like a Scat Pack would be senseless in this situation. Fortunately I only have to go in once a week now, I work from home the rest of the time.

The Pentastar V-6 is pretty well maxed out from the factory, the only things SHORT of a supercharger are a decent exhaust system (I recommend the SOLO "J" pipe system- I love mine) and the Hellcat lower airbox so you can add the tube to the front grille for cooler air. I myself put in an AFE Momentum GT intake on both my 2013 and 2016 which is sealed like the factory airbox and lets you use the Hellcat air tube, but it has a much better pipe from the airbox to the throttle body--it really juiced up the mid range power.

The better exhaust & intake will get you from 292 HP to around 310 HP (a stock Challenger V-6 has 305 HP). I had my 2013 dynoed several times, best was 314 HP using a Diablo Tuner (the average was 310), I've only had my 2016 on the rollers once (without a tune) and it made 310 HP/284 torque. The 2016 is a lot quicker due to the 8 speed transmission.

Personally, I would upgrade the brakes before you do anything, as the stock BR3 brake package is schizz: it has single piston calipers with 12.6" front rotors and super crappy 3/8" thick solid rear rotors. The easiest-cheapest upgrade is to put on the BR5 brakes from the RT which gets you 13.6" front rotors with dual piston calipers and 12.6" vented rear rotors. The ultimate inexpensive upgrade is the Police BR9 package which has 14.5" fronts and 13.8" rears, but the pieces are getting very hard to find (both of these bolt right on to your stock suspension).

Depending on what you're looking for exactly, pedal commanders are quite helpful. It doesnt change power or increase the horsepower at all, but the feel of the acceleration is very noticeable. I have no extras on my car as it stands now, and the pedal commander really makes a difference. It's not cheap at $250ish though.

Save your money.
If you plan on keeping the car, save for a supercharger and have something a bit different than everything else on the road.
If you have plans to trade in or sell it, don’t waste your time and money. The v6 cars are pretty well tapped from the factory and do not gain as much with the smaller cheaper mods like v8 cars do.
