now I can't be the only one that doesn't like the two toned door panels dodge put in out cars. And I know I'm not the only one that doesn't wanna shell out the cash for the superbee conversion. I was thinking, what about some custom cut vinyl? Anyone tried this? any thoughts on if it would look good? I may try it soon

Have thought about this before, have also seen painted interiors.
Too much work right now to paint the interior and i would have to see what the vinyl might look like.

I've done some trim work with vinyl. It has a patteren of Carbon Fiber. Avery sells it in a roll. Was a pain to do, but I think it came out nice. The vinyl has been on since 9/05, and still holding up.

NOTE: If any one does this mod with vinyl, here's a hint... Do it in the spring/summer/fall seasons, on a hot day, in the sun. This will let you "pull" on the vinyl if needed, while its soft from the heat. And get an EXACTO knife which will help you cut and tuck. The console is the PITA.

it would work fine a. A DD if you treated it well, don't open your door with your foot and crap. My charger is my dd and if it cost 500 to paint the bottem pannels flat black it's still way cheaper than the superbee upgrade. Tbydaytona40 painted his interior pannels line a year ago and I haven't heat any I'll effects as of yet.

Vinyl as is sticker or vinyl as in faux leather? I've consider the faux leather idea, well with suede but it seems like a very difficult job to get into the cubby area in the door.

I think redoing the doors would look good, if it could done in a way that looks right. I have yet seen it done. I have wraped a panels before and it can be dufficult. If you use a heat gun and a towel with cold water, it makes it easier to work the materials. The door panel would have to be taken apart to wrap it. That wants makes it hard to do.

I am going to begin this to. I painted my interior 2 years ago and it is starting to scratch and doesn't look good anymore. It is more than my daily driver as I use it to haul stuff to my restaurant as well so I need something that won't scratch up.

Hey nCHARGE,

Those pics look fantastic.
Please tell me more about the process that you used to cover the ashtray and console door pieces.

How does the wrap look on the underside/inside of the panels that open?

How did you attach the stuff? I'll assume some type of spray adhesive.

Anyway, it looks fantastic and i would be very interested in trying this myself (with a little more info of course!)

Just look for the 08 Interior pieces. I know that cleveland pick-a-parts has them from time to time. He was going to sell me the front doors for like $375 shipped, they were from an SRT, unfortunately I didn't have the money at the time.
