Hey guys.. I have to hunt down the reasons for my power loss after the install of the Super 10's.. My first thought is to check the backpressure.. Does anyone know what the reading should be on the SRT8 when tested?? Also will HAL start to adjust the engine to compensate since things have changed??

How long ago was the exhaust installed? When I dropped in a new exhaust I thought I noticed a power decrease as well. But after a few weeks I think I ended up getting back more. Apparently the vehicle's computer needs to adjust and adapt with the new hardware.

that seems odd to have lost power on just a muffler install

Is this coming from a dyno pull, or are you going by the "butt dyno"? You can loose some low end torque with decreased back pressure but, after my swap, I haven't noticed any change, other than the increased roar on takeoff, lol. I did beat my best time on 0-60 afterward. I will admit, my car doesn't feel as fast as it used to. But I believe that's just me getting used to the car over the past 3 years. The SRT will never feel faster than it did the 1st time you pulled it out and put the pedal to the floor. Unless you do some type of mod then, in the excitement, it may feel faster again.

Just did the Reso delete and Super 10 install yesterday. The car feels "bogged down" at first.. No dyno! We played around with pipe size specifically to keep some backpressure. 2.75 and 2.5. We hoped to keep the velocity and pressure balance.

just a guess but since it won't cost you anything to do, why not reload your tune and reset the tcm w/ the predator? Don't know if it'll help but can't hurt. I do it when I feel like shifts are taking too long and I know your not actually changing anything, but everytime the car drives better (in my opinion).

I did reload the tune.. Gonna drive it like I stole it to see if HAL will readjust things for me.

Yeah, if you wanna drop $1500 on an exhaust. That's Fu*king riduclous...I can have a 100% stainless custom bent exhaust for 1/2 the cost of Corsa's overpriced systems. I'm not saying they aren't a quality exhaust...just not worth paying for the "Corsa" name. You can thank the Corvette community for driving up Corsa prices!!

Update!!!!!

OMG!! I drove the car home Friday after the install then removed and reloaded my tune but didn't get to drive the car again until just now... Reloading the tune was the key!! It is now faster than it has ever been. Now when I'm driving around at about 15mph and stomp it, the back end breaks loose and I have to reel it in. My heart is still pounding.. Oh.. BTW.. The sound is AWESOME too.. Loud, but I'll get used to it... :rocker:
