Seat Swap from Chrysler 300s to Dodge Charger Pursuit

Hello, I have done a front and rear seat swap from a Chrysler 300s to a Dodge Charger Pursuit with an 8.4" Uconnect (previously 7"). Once swapped, I get an airbag light and a seatbelt not buckled in alert (however I am buckled in). I am using the new seat belt buckle that came with the swapped seats (tried the old ones too but same error).

These seats are heated. 4 questions...
Some might be in AlphaOBD (my car already has the proper connectors for Alpha) just wondering if any of you know the proper settings for it?

1. How do I activate the front heated seats option on my 8.4" Uconnect?
2. How do I wire up the rear seats correctly to the buttons on the back of the center console? The seats currently stay on even when the car is off when spliced into the buttons.
Are any wiring diagrams available?
3. How do I get rid of the airbag light on the dash?
4. How do I make the front seat belt recognized again when it's buckled?

I recall some wiring change with the connectors not matching up on heated seats and seatbelt codes, maybe certain years, do a search in google referencing this site. This is a generally handy thing to know, how to search a certain site for certain things.

In google to search this site:

the words I am interested in site:chargerforums.com

Maybe this search will be useful (just guessing):

300C interior swap pursuit airbag light seatbelt seat heater site:chargerforums.com

You will get results from only this site.

Swapping complete 300 interiors into Pursuits is very common, so the answers are likely here somewhere. Google search is usually better than the search box at the top of this page. Google search is generally better than search at the top of any forum on the entire Internet.

Feel free to post additional questions about what you find, a few members have complied successful swaps.

When I did the same swap on my 2014 the airbag light was in until I went under the seat and unplugged everything on the seat that wasn't plugged in on the original ones and it fixed it. You might have to clear the codes also after doing that.

There is more work involved to make heated seats work, I think additional wiring is required. Leave the components for it disconnected to stop them from coming on or add a switch.

is there any reason this swap is common on the pursuits? Will it work on an RT? I need new seats. Mine is an 07. Seats are trashed
Pursuits have plain seats that are usually worn out in some way and the back ones don't always match the front.

You'll probably have to stick with pre 2011 ones for best fitment and chance of wiring matching.

The seat swap is common on Pursuits because generally, the majority of people dislike the cloth seats which aren't as comfortable as the premium models. To my belief, any Chrysler 300 or any Dodge Charger seat would be swappable. Just the connections may not be the same or airbag issues can arise. It also makes the interior look a whole lot more premium.

I think you see mostly Chrysler 300 posts because the swap has some kind of issue that's why people post about it. I may be wrong, but a Dodge Charger to Dodge Charger swap may have less or no issues and that is why you don't see too many posts.

swapped leather/Alcantara seats from Scat pack without issues with wiring to pursuit 2019...
the only thing that I wasn't able to connect heating due to missing harness.
Make sure that all connectors in the seat are connected properly. I fully disassembled both seats since they where rusty and assembled back.

Hey everybody, I just got my hands on factory Dodge Charger seats. I got rid of the Chrysler 300 seats and put the original Dodge Charger seats on. The car only has 1 yellow cable underneath the seats. The airbag light is off. I am missing the heated seat cable.

Does anybody know where to get the gray cable, or where to plug it into on the other end?

Dodge Charger Pursuit with seats pulled from a 2020 Dodge Charger. The yellow cable works fine with airbags and seatbelt detection. It instantly heats up the drivers side seat, so I keep it unplugged for now. The dealership said there is no communication between the Heated Seat Module (HSM) and the ECU. They activated the seat option to the BCM of the car so it does show up on the uconnect screen, however I looked further why the buttons don't work and that is because there is no gray cable that goes from the main wiring harness to the seats.

Most likely I will have to manually add switches since I don't want to go the route of completely changing out the car's main wiring harness, unless there is a better way?

Make sure that you connected all connectors to front seats. Make sure that airbag connectors are connected to airbags in seats, that airbags are present. Try checking the error code and message. It may have specific message. In case of different SRS configuration and car configuration it will say something like “vehicle configuration mismatch” or no error will be shown just airbag light.
You shouldn’t have any errors if all the wires are connected. Police LD SRS module ignores pistons in seat belt connectors so you should be fine in case they blown off.
Btw, what year? Is it in police mode - where you can’t open trunk and rear doors are not unblocked?(police lighting feature) or it was reprogrammed?

When I did mine the light came on, I compared the sear bottoms of both the old seats and new and there was some extra airbag items plugged in I unplugged and the light went out. This was putting Chrysler seats into a Pursuit.

The code might also clear on its own and be a history code depending on what it is.
