Does it flash when the car is off and locked? If so the factory “alarm”.

 

No it just stayed on the whole drive home, when I restarted the engine it was gone. I never locked the car when I left it.

 

Hmmm. Look on your manual under the understanding your dashboard or something like that. It’ll show you what all the icons are.

 

Yes it says its an alarm but doesn't say how it functions. When I lock the car it does not flash.

 

Lock the car and look in the window. It should flash every 10-20 seconds. It works when the door is open when the door is locked. I tried it by having the window down and locked the car. I manually pulled up the door plunger and opened and it trigged the alarm
