Need Dual Exhaust Tip for Flowmaster Force II (Made a Mistake)

Well I need some help cause I made a pretty dumb mistake. About a year ago I installed the Flowmaster Force II Catback Exhaust System on my 2013 Charger RT...I absolutely love the way it sounds...not to loud and definitely not to quiet...any how I've always wanted to upgrade the exhaust tips from the terrible square stock ones...I went ahead and bought some Flowmaster Dual Stainless Steel Tips (Part# 15307)...Love the look and could not wait to install...well I did my research on how to uninstall the crappy stock ones which low and behold it's true that they are a PITA to remove...took way longer than I wanted but I kind of expected it after reading up on just how big of a pain they were...anyhow I finally removed them and was super excited to install the new tips...went to put them on and ran into 1 small problem...the outlet tube size on the exhaust system is 2.5" (which I didn't know at the time) and the inlet tube size on the tips are also 2.5"...needless to say they do not fit and now I am crushed...how did I not do my homework on this before purchasing I have no idea but it happened and now I am stuck...I need a replacement tip to buy and install that will fit the outlet tubing on the exhaust...I am currently looking up more exhaust tips similar to the ones I bought but I'm not 100% sure which inlet size I now need so I have come here to see if anybody knows of anything or has something similar installed that they could recommend...I'm an idiot I know but just looking for some help...thanks and now you may go ahead and laugh

If they're both 2.5" why don't you get them welded on? I'm sure any shop can do it for ~$50.

Otherwise, slightly bang one end of the opening (either the piping or the tip) and make it just slightly larger and squeeze it in. If you do it good enough, it'll stay on, just use a clamp for extra protection.

Just stop in at a muffler shop and ask them to expand them to go over 2.5" pipe. They have a hydraulic machine and it would take all of 30 seconds.

Thanks for all the advice everyone...that's exactly what I am going to do is take it to a local exhaust shop and see what my options are...after further investigation on my own I did notice Flowmaster welded on a small tip at the end of the exhaust system from the from the factory. That is really the main reason the tips I bought will not fit...if it was just a straight pipe at the end they would slip/clamp on no problem...anyhow I'm guessing the exhaust shop might have to cut that tip off and but who knows I'm sure they will figure out something...my next big worry is I do not want the tips once they are installed to stick out too far from the bumper...doesn't have to be completely flush with the rear bumper but sticking out slightly maybe no more than 1/2 an inch will do for me...this is turning out to be a more time consuming mod than I thought but oh well as Forrest Gump would say himself "IT HAPPENS"

I have the exact setup, I was disappointed as well at first, but like others said I took it to a shop and they welded directly onto the system. Looks great!

That's great to hear can't wait until I get a finished product!

Well I took my problem to a local exhaust shop and they were not able to fix my problem...they could get the tips to fit with no issue but since the aftermarket exhaust is different in overall length from stock the tips would then stick out from the bumper and look terribly tacky...the tips are 10" long so I will need to regroup and find some that are only about 8" in length that way they will be flush with the bumper...any suggestions???

How far do they stick out on yours? Here's what mine looks like and I think it looks awesome

Exhaust tips don’t really “do” anything, it’s not as much about how exhaust tips work, as it is about how they look. They are basically like the cherry on top of your ice cream sundae

Finally after a couple weeks of frustration I got the quad tips installed...I am now satisfied with this addition...another mod down 1 more to go...going to get an LMI CAI next
