ok so..... my lovely R/T charger, 30k miles on it, has given me no problems til a few weeks ago.

the headlights flicker here and there when they are on. when the switch is off, sometimes they turn on, then they turn off by themselves after 10 or 15 minutes.... when i have the switch on at night, sometimes they don't turn on until i switch it on/off a few times, but for the most part they stay on.

i dont have any problem with any other lights, or the radio.

my mechanic (hes very trustworthy) says its the body control module, and that he has seen chryslers with that similar problem.

i would like some input as to if it really could be the BCM or not, and if it is, where i can find a good deal/etc.

i'm in los angeles, and if anybody wants to take a look at my car or give me a reource.... i'd appreciate it.

thank you!!!

Just for grins (and because it's free) try disconnecting the battery terminals (negative one first!), cleaning the terminals and battery connection points with a wire brush, and making sure that they are tight when reinstalling them.

After that there are two main items that control the headlights: The headlight switch assembly in the dash and the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) under the hood.
The Chrysler service and wiring manuals show this clearly. As far as what to do next I would replace the headlight switch first and the TIPM second. The switch is cheaper and IMHO more likely to fail.

Wiring shorts / opens are possible but not likely.

Let us know how you do in solving this issue.

I'm having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution to this? Here are the details to my issue:

Headlights and dash gauges are flickering randomly. I replaced the fog lamp bulbs about a month ago, but didn't see an immediate issue after replacing them. I had the alternator tested (it tested okay) The battery was replaced as well. Not too long ago the car threw a P0128 code - THERMOSTAT RATIONALITY.

If anyone knows anything about this problem, please help.

THANKS!
