I tried doing some searching in this area but came up null. Has anyone successfully installed a factory navigation system on a Charger that didn't come with one pre installed?

Super easy.

Where in Chi are you located?

Ive done 5-6 cars including mine. Ive never placed the antenna by the cluster; though. Just in the center dash on the HVAC ducts. Other than that, its plug and play. I think the scew to swap the hazards/esp and hvac controlls was a 4mm; other than that its super smooth sailing.

My install write up with pics. I got my bezel off ebay from a TX dealer, if you want, pm me and I'll send you the seller's name.

And yes, a 300 will work, the PCM in the car will tell the NAV what to display, Dodge or Chrysler when you start the car the first time.

Let me know if you have any questions.

If it's the free 1 year subscription that comes with the car I have heard that it will not transfer. Otherwise just get the serial number for the Sirius before removing it from the car, install your new radio and call Sirius and have them transfer the subscription over, takes about 10 min.

This weekend, I took delivery of a demo (8800 miles on it) 2007 Charger SRT8.

It has the factory installed Navigation system.

Who makes the Navigation system?
Garmin,etc.?

I burned a copy of the DVD that it came with onto a DVD DL as a backup and I have questions about the software.

Thanks

just did a swap out last weekend !

had the RAK radio that came factory with my 07 R/T and replaced with the REC NAV system - did it all myself took about 30 min from start to finish

PM me if you want and will take you step by step- all you need is the NAV antenna, trim pulling tool and a philips screwdriver

very very easy swap
