Led or ccfl?

I have seen some photos of those on some cars and they seem to be OK. I think 1 member had some issues with the led's dead on arrival. I don't have the halos but I went with the oe style projector am replica housings. I have seen a few people take those apart and then wire in a halo. All the pre-built ones short of a company taking the oe lamp and retrofitting them seem to not be the best quality

 

Good question, I'm a newbie to these, I take it its not possible to tell from the pictures. I will ask him and let you know, hoping you guys can help me not get ripped off.

Spoke to him, he says that these are the exact units that I will get, he says they are LED
