Keep holding out on it, I was over 5k before I started getting decent milage.
I have gotten 453 miles out of just over 16 gallons, Cruise set between 60 and 75 MPH.

What octane gas are you using? Have you tried filling up at different brand stations? There are a number of factors that could be causing it. Are your tires properly inflated?

Thats the only thing I can think... I have 245/35/20's on and that might throw off my speedo, therefore my mileage also... cant be THAT much though....

You're getting 16 w/ a V-6?! I get 18 w/my SRT. Unless you floor it at every light, and cruise at 100+, I'd have the dealer check it, just in case.

When I put new rims on my Ram, I went with wider rims. The new rims with tires weighed 3 pounds LESS, but there was more road friction. Because of the rolling resistance, my mileage dropped. I can't say thats the cause of yours, but its one theory.

The 20" wheel/tire combo doesn't help. It's a two-ton 4-door car, and the V-6 doesn't benefit from MDS at highway speeds.

At last fill up I calculated 23 MPG, thats driving 75% HWY / 25% CITY. The best MPG I ever had was 26 at 95% HWY.

Well i filled it up again and reset the trip yesterday... I'll let you know if it changes.. if not.. it's going back to DC. There's no way i should be getting 35% less than other hard drivers. This would be a good opportunity to suggest exhaust and CAI to my wife though...

My 3.5 SE gets about 21 mpg pretty consistantly. The lowest I've recorded was 19.5, but I did a lot of full throttle launches on that batch of gas. I'd probably get even better mileage if I turned off my AC and left my windows up... (seems to me the drag with open windows is just as hard on gas as running ac on low settings)... but it's been getting more and more summery and muggy here, and I'd rather pay more than be sweaty all the time driving.

You'd get better mileage out of a Hemi.

I only average 19.33 in my SE. I have been trying to drive easier and keep the RPM's below 2000. I should have gotten the HEMI!!

Well that was my deal too... gas mileage was one of the big factors in my decision.. that and insurance... but it needs to change soon.... Or I will become a pest in the side of DC until I dies!!!

Let me know if that works! I'll pester 'em too! :)

Seriously, if I knew that the mileage wasn't going to be much of a difference, I would have gotten the Hemi.

Have you ever looked at epochs signature? Did you see the link that says "HEMI gas calculator"? see how accurate it is once.

Yeah, but I bought the car before I saw that! :)

And Tallboy, when I looked at the stickers, I think there was at least a 2 MPG difference. That adds up. At least it did for me.
