New Oil filter

I don't have a new part number, but you should be able to look at the inside of your new filter and normally the thread pitch is printed around the hole. Just a guess.

I'll take your word for it, but the first post said that the opening has been changed from a 3/4" hole to a Metric 22 mm hole. So be careful when putting that thing on.

Oh, and the filter you are describing sounds a lot like the 1090 that I currently use on my 2006.

This should help:

MO-899 = 2008 HEMI 5.7
MO-090 = 2007-2006 HEMI 5.7

As I said before the computer still may have the 090 as the right filter for 08' so watch for it, thats WRONG. Advanced auto had to order the MO-899 for me. so if you stay with MOPAR then ask for the MO-899 for 2008 hemi 5.7.

like i said it was what i heard. Maybe its just that mopar isnt using them anymore. I recall one of the engineers saying something about champion labs and mopar not using each other for some reason in 07> its been a year or so i dont remember
Mopar and Ford use Purolator (per Purolators website), and Mopar has been for ever since Chrysler invented the oil filter with Purolator.
GM uses CL (per CLs website)

Look at the above list. Anything with the numbers "4651" in the part number are OEM products made by Champion Labs.

Cheers,

so by that logic, CL is making Purolator's filters, i doubt that.

part numbers for car parts are typically standard across the board, a tie rod end that would have a part number of ES3571 at Autozone, might XX3571 at Murrays, PepBoys, Napa, etc, etc.
