I guess the question I want to ask is what's everyone's opinion on the best tire and rim size, and set up, for someone using their car as a semi daily driver but also wants to go to the track every once in a while and lite em up?

You're telling me no one has an opinion?

If I was asking what color to get I'd have 15 replies.

So far i am extremely pleased with the Davin 22 wheels i have installed with 265x35x22 Hankook Tires. I travel more than 50 miles each way to work everyday.

Yeah, I actually worked with one of the sales reps directly and he had Charger specific wheels made. They are specifc for the rear and the front only. Not sur of the specs though. I can try to call him and find out. By the way great team to work with overall!

truthfully, there is not much out there, the 22's and such are too heavy for track use and the good 18 and 19 inch tires aren't quite the same size as stock, which means you would have to reprogram the PCM...however, BFG builds the drag radials in a 265/40-18 that you could use for track time. :santa:

UPDATE: Kumho has introduced the Ecsta SPT ultra high performance tire in a 245/50-18 speed rated w, great 3 season tire for all around performance driving...figure about $170 each plus mount and balance...

Yeah, go with Kumhos. I've got Ecsta MXs on the Vette. They work in the rain, and at the autox and track. However, they're still not a racing compound like the hoosiers or Kumho 710s, so don't expect to be tops in your class.

I'm looking at Kumhos for my wife's SUV and as replacements for my Contis (when I need them). I'm trying to find out more info on the brand. Can anyone fill me in? How are their quality, tread life, etc.

Thanks for the info.
