Definitely will clear the rear, my 285/40/20 are the same height physically as the 255/45/20. You have more room in the rear, you don't have to worry about the tire turning. As you can see on my car there is still plenty of room in under the fender.

Nice rims BTW, that was my next choice but I ended up getting Foose Nitro copies.
Thanks, I personally like the American Muscle look, and these rims sorta fall between old school and modern IMO.

Coupe questions

So, Bishguam, have you lowered your R/T? I have an R/T AWD, and it sits way hi. I have thought about getting the SRT8 suspension because of it. Second question is; with the bigger wheels, have you notice a difference in the braking?

255/45/20 fits very well on all 4 corners! :bigthumb:

My SXT/AWD was lowered to "Stock RT height" with Pedders springs. This was before the BCR Coilovers were available.

Ok, I got 20x8.5 Black Ziniks and 255-45R20 Firestone Firehawks. They fit in my 09 AWD RT very well.(Thanks Ron380!) This is as big as you can go without rubbing the front wheelwell in a turn. The Firestones are 400 wear rated and AA traction rated, which is pretty good.

Here's how they look....

It seems my MPG has dropped from 18 to 16 with the bigger tires. I don't know if its the added width, larger diameter, or both.
Bigger wheels and tires are heavier. My stock 18" rims/tires are about 48 lbs each and the 20's I had were over 60 lbs each combo ... And my mpg's went down too ... lol

I ran 255/45R20's for a while too ;)

You just asked me this in conversation. The RWD wheels do NOT fit AWD properly due to the offsets. They will stick out at least an inch over the AWD wheels.

Adding 10.5 wide wheels to all 4 corners will make them stick out even further if you're using rwd wheels.

I don’t care how far they sit out I’m worried about the transfer case
As long as you keep the same overall diameter, 245/45/20, 275/40/20 and 315/35/20 all have the same diameter and will meet those requirements.

Turns and bumps are going to be an issue on the front end though. Just letting you know.
