O.K. Guys some how I have caught myself into some kind of dilema. So here it goes. I bought my (beautiful) wife a new charger on the first of july (an sxt with R/T wheels,leather,roof and sirrus (silver steel beautiful) and I agreed to sell my cobra. So I did and now I have extra cash. The $ was supposed to go to a S3 kit for my srt-4 but to be honest now I want a charger. Well in about 3-4 weeks (hopefully its in D1 status) a daytona is coming in and I have had serious thoughts about that one, infact my name is on it. But I love black and I thought about just an R/T with pp package. It would save me around $2500 because the daytona has stuff I really dont want (nav radio,sirrus,roof and evic). So options

1. Stay w/ srt-4 and buy S3 and be a fast nean! (cnd cheaper note)
2. Buy the Daytona (wife wants believe it or not)
3. Buy R/T w/ PP package and save money of Daytona (but not have a colletor)

What would you do?!?!?!?!

Go with the black Charger R/T with the performance package. In the end you will be more happy because it's a color you really want, and it will have saved you a nice chunk of change in the meantime. Perhaps a nice vacation for you and your "beautiful" wife??? Just food for thought! But I would pass up the Daytona's myself in favore of a regular Charger R/T with the PP.

I completely agree. I've never been a fan of the Daytona colors so when I found out I could get almost everything with the PP I ordered it. If there are specific options on the Daytona that you like (black grille), you can almost certainly add those for less than the $2500 you're saving.

Daytona... but thats just me. After seeing the pictures on ebay of one I fell in love with the color. But thats just me.

Well I like the daytona Go Mango color better then the stock R/T colors... and after seeing a Daytona in person... I will say that anyone who buys one will not be disappointed... the car looks sharp, and for some reason... it looks like a totally different car then the normal R/T.

Back when I was placing my order I was going back and forth with a black R/T and a Go ManGo daytona... in the end I decided that since every time I see the Daytona on TV or on the web... alittle voice inside keeps telling me that that is what I want..... and sitting on my orders for over a month, I will say that I have not changed my mind....

Go with what you think you will be happier with in the long run, as you dont want a month or a year to go buy, and think... "I should have gotten the other color."

My wife tells my to buy the Daytona so it wont be the same as hers (in appreance) just different color. But a black R/T pp with black grill and chin spoiler!! MMM..MMMMM..good!! Im going to Dallas the 19th and 20th for the Srt experience so I will go try and find a Daytona then. I'll keep yq'll posted

hey everyone,

I have a charger and i am in love, but let it be known i was in hemibates srt 4 with the stage 2 kit....peeled out going in to 2nd gear, thrown into the backseat...that is one bad little machine...it can take a charger (no joke), couldn't imagine with a stage 3 kit....i was like most...go with charger, but after being in that bad little boy....damn i am confused for hemibates and it isn't even my decision.

Quite honestly, I would have both the Charger and the Stage 3 SRT-4 if I could. A Stage 3 car is something you really have to experience, 22psi just GOES!!!!! :rockon:

Dude, you have got to tell me how it was, I have been withing for this since I regestered back in the first part of June!! (Patience is not a virtue w/ me its imposible!) But seriously let us know, GoDaddy is thinking of going w/me to Dallas and this could help w/ decisions ($300 entry fee). I'm going regardless!

And they really do. The power at your command quickly becomes addictive Coming over the mountians in KY is a hoot. Flooring it and accellerating UP the mountain is a blast.

Well I think I am in a pretty good position to help you. Here are the reason's why I think that.
A.) I have a stg-3 2004 Black SRT-4 (our favorite color)
B.) I recently bought a Black Charger R/T (our favorite color) for my wife
C.) I too and am signed up for the track even in Ennis on the 20th and plan on being they in my SRT-4 which I will let you drive after I see you drive on the tack. hehe

Seriously though if your into performance keep your SRT-4. I make more HP and Torque with my SRT-4 than my Hemi Charger and it is 1100 pounds lighter. Doesn't take a scientist to figure out which is quicker. One of each is how I went and what I would recommend for you.

Well I am into performance (bad) and I just sold my cobra and have a little over $6000 to spend. So I was considering the Daytona coming in or awhole lot of goodies for srt! I am aslo going in my srt so that should be fun. hehe. Just riding in yours should help me better judge my decision, so thanks in advance.
