What oils do you guys use?? I was thinking of trying Amsoil. I have used royal purple, Castrol , Mobil 1 EP, valvoline synpower. So far I think the Mobil 1 has worked the best. Any thoughts?

What you really want is QuantumBlue HP Competition Formula Engine Oils.

Custom designed for your particular car with your particular mods, where you live, how you drive etc.

We produce each and every gallon of oil specifically for your use....like going to Lowe's and Home Depot where you hand them a color swatch with a number and they "make" your paint for you specifically.

You can run it 10k, 12k, 14k, 16k or 18k miles depending on oil analysis.

You have a much better lubricant, a QB Ultra HP oil filter that goes with it and significantly reduced and frankly eliminated wear using these materials.

Here are a few posts from different customers: (we presently have over 11,000 customers now from and on this forum)

All of that while saving time not being under the car and saving money going longer on your oil drain intervals!:beerchug:

I use which ever one of the name brand synthetics are on sale at Advanced Auto. Usually Mobil 1, but have used Pennzoil and Valvoline synthetics.
As for filters, Purolator, K&N, or Mopar.
Just not Fram.

Penzoil 0-40 syn for regular driving. Redline 0-40 or Amsoil 0-40 for track use. Don't buy into the oil hype if you're driving on the street. Seriously.

Why 0-40? I have been using 5-20 like the manual says

I usually go with the sale one too, no Fram filter, I like the Mobil one 15,000 mile oil the best so far

Once again the off the shelf guru calling us hype again. None of these oils you mention pay anything to support this forum and we do along with the other vendors! We do this because we own these cars and yes, we do want to make some money too to support our families as well.

It isn't appreciated by any vendor when you call them "hype" and frankly it is insulting!

I worked directly with GM, Ford, Chrysler and Honda as a lubricant specialist and tribologist to solve their problems.

I know what they recommend and why. Cost of ownership ratings and nothing more. 4.6 to 5.8 years is what they expect for their cars and then buy another one.

I left a 5 billion dollar company to design real lubricants that are much better for our customers. Just over 40,000 of them world wide. 97.6% reorder rate for a reason!

What credentials to you hold to make a statement about hype?

Oil analysis results were perfectly acceptable.

You left out that the OA was also for 9400 miles . I think it's relevant to your statement so that others can understand the context.

OA is pretty linear

Results were perfectly acceptable, and per blackstone, wear was below average given the mileage ;)

I'm starting to wonder if these "What oil should I use?" threads are posted just to get a rise out of BND and to start a verbal riot. That's what they all eventually turn into. Why post ANOTHER question that has already been answered 1000's of times on this forum alone. Geeez!

Yeah, and people keep posting "What's the best Exhaust" threads because they are trying to get a rise out of Borla and MagnaFlo.

Seriously? New folks post CAI, exhaust and oil threads endlessly because they always have...not because they are calling anyone out.
