What is on your roof in the front??

Jason
aftermarket sirius antenna - sirius now cuts out a lot less than before i upgraded my stereo. for example, i now get reception in the parking garage at work, and it doesnt cut out every time i go under a bridge.

i was originally disappointed when the car stereo people didnt use the factory amp (i dont know why, maybe they just couldnt) but now that ive experienced the difference in reception im happy :)

i only wonder whats under the factory antenna / how big the hole is... maybe i can turn the old antenna into a (somewhat) stealth backup camera

well here's another one for ya. you seem to know a lot about this stuff. I was interested in getting sirius but not sure if I should go back to the dealer or head to best buy. I wouldn't mind putting in a new HU but it seems it's a pain. Is there a huge sound quality difference with a FM modulator or having it installed at the dealer. Price difference is about $500

installing an aftermarket stereo will require:
  • a HU with preouts
  • a 4 channel amp
  • crossovers so that you dont blow the 3.5's in the dash
  • sirius tuner
  • installation
...just so you know. - so if all you want is sirius you might want to just do it at the dealer.

ive never used satellite radio with an FM tuner, i cant help you on that

Becareful with the wax. I tried a spray on wax today and all I got was a rewash. It left a lot of streaks on the Black and didn't really add to the shine at all... It was Mothers Wax which I always heard was very good. Any reccomendations would be appreciated.

I like Meguiars NXT Wax... basically it is the same as Zaino... but at a decent price... (personally I feel Zaino is a rip off)

Found out from parts from my dealer Meguiars makes the Mopar care products and is the same as off the shelf Meguiars lets Mopar put thier name on it. I use the Meguiars leather care for the seats as well.

Hey Jamphat,

I have the same car as you, ,the black is th only choice in my opinion. Go to www.auto-ease.com and order yourself some Finish First. I bought mine direct from a rep at a car show, He told me that the longer you can leave it on to cure before buffing it off the better, I left it on over night and then buffed it off the next morning and it came off with very little effort, just like toweling the car off, of course you would want the car in the garage over night not sitting outside, and with each coat the car looks wetter and the paint looks even deeper. He said to take a ruler and hold it next to your paint and see how far you can read the ruler in the reflection and then check it again after waxing and you will be able to read even further each time. I have put two coats on the Charger and two coats on one of my Harleys, this stuff is awesome!!!!!!!!!!
