I just bought a new black 2014 charger road & track a week ago that came with the 20-inch classic II aluminum rims. I was thinking of switchung them for the black top addition rims. I researched and the classic II are actually worth more money. How do you guys think I shoild go about doing it. Will the dealership make a deal with me to switch them or should I just sell them or switch with someone else with the black top rims, etc.. Or do you guys think a black charger looks better with the Classic II anyway. what do you guys think ?

Go with the wheels that you like, that's my opinion. As far as trading them with the dealer, I doubt they would let you do that since the blacktop package includes the 20 inch black wheels, and they probably can't split up the blacktop package. If you really want the blacktop wheels, I think your best bet is to sell your current wheels and look online for the blacktop wheels. However, if it's just the color you want, then you can simply plastidip your current wheels for 20 bucks(3 cans of plastidip) and save yourself the trouble.

Another option is to powder coat your existing wheels. I like the Classic II style but I'm not a fan of bright wheels either.

You're correct that you're are likely to bring more value but when you're trying to trade that's hard. If you're in a cold weather state buy some take off 18s and put winter tires on that will give you all winter to powder coat your summer wheels :)

I like the Classic II's and polished aluminum rims. Black rims are quickly approaching a played out fad. :)

Very nice pics, I am actually looking at wheels too. I don't want to go the blacked out way either, even though it looks intimidating and cool it is usually the most common thing to do to a black modern muscle car. My goal is performance first so I would stick with 20's (20x9 at least) and the primary reason for switching my 100th AE wheels for someting else would be for wider tires, probably 275's in the back at, not sure if they would fit in the front without rubbing. I was actually looking at american racing torque thrust (grey, not a fan of chrome) and the old but trusty viper reps lol. I want something that blends with the rest of the car while looking beefy and doesn't scream "aftermarket".

To the OP, if reducing the bling factor on your wheels is what you want I would look into powder coating first for a permanent, one stop solution like others have said or plasti-dip to play with colors and all that. Good luck!
