I know there were more cameras!!! Im surprised the low level of multiple people activity. With everyone saying they had a good time I was hoping for more pictures posts and more conversation. I spent most of my time at the grill and hope no one feels slighted I didnt have conversations with them.

Was a great day, thank you all again

I've forwarded this link to Sgt. Joubert, and his troopers, the MSP helicopter pilot, a very good friend of mine who was also closely involved in getting this done, and a few other people who quitely worked in the background to support the idea. This also includes upper level management at the Basket Ball Hall of Fame -- which as you know, should have normally been asked FIRST, before the fliers were printed, whether we could use their parking lot as a meeting spot, or not, since it is privately managed.
Well, I am happy it all went so smooth. Again, thanks for this fun day. Everything went well, and as they say, all is well that ends well. Glad everybody had a good time.

Danni
Next time we will find some place else then. The Basket Ball Hall of Fame WAS CLOSED, we did NOT take up any space for customers, nor did we do burnouts or leave the place trashed or even effect the other businesses that share the lot. It was simply a meeting point with easy access to the highway as well as a location that could be found with GREAT ease by those not from this area. We know for next year not to do it since it is such an issue.

Thank you to the Basketball Hall of Fame for letting us impose for 45 minutes on your lot. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you during a time which your museum was not in operation. We will find another location for next year so as to not be a burden.

Did they really kick up a huge fuss?

It's not like we were going to vandalize the place with three State Troopers right there (even if we were so inclined, which we were not), and everyone was on their best behaviour while on the property.

Sort of disappointing if they raised a big stink over some cars meeting in their parking lot during off hours under police supervision....

I spoke with the director of the Hall for a few minutes when he pulled in. (Least I think it was the director, checkerboard shorts, black charger, wife and kids with him)

He was very excited to be part of the cruise. All they had to say was No and we would have gone somewhere else with no trouble. Basketball Hall fo Fame got a bit of extra publicity being on the flyer, in the news as well as on this Forum, i know I plan to visit there before the end of the year with my daughter as a way of saying thank you, perhaps others will too.

Yes, Mr. Doleva of the BBHoF told Ted that he was very impressed with the way Gary coordinated the event.

No, actually the BBHoF didn't mind at all and supported the cause, despite of a small flaw, which was gracefully overlooked.

In a nutshell:
it is common courtesy to ask permission first.

Clearing the event with the BBHoF before hand next time was merely suggested by Ted as a common courtesy. That's all. Initially, BBHoF management had no prior knowledge our group intended to meet there until they received the flyer.

I hope this misunderstanding is herewith cleared up.
