I am looking to upgrading audio and electronics in my 2015 Charger SE, and I was wondering what differences should I note prior to ordering upgrades. This does not apply just to electronics, but anything else on the car as well. i.e., can it accept the same tuners, the same door speakers, the same head units (8.4AN), etc?

I don't know which electronics you might refer to, but you might want to use one of the audio supplier websites to find out what will fit in the dash/doors/etc. before jumping in. also, plan out a system that does what you want it to do first. You can upgrade audio in stages if money is tight. I recommend speakers, then amp/sub/then if you want to get technical, add a digital sound processor.

Haven't seen anyone upgrade the screen yet. It has a funny connector that might be proprietary anyway.

I've been trying to look into this myself as my SXT AWD (standard) came with the 4 inch screen, couldn't find any info though. Tuner wise we're gonna have to waita while. The tuners for the '14s and older won't work, and when diablo releases new ones (might be a while, '15 v8 support is just about released and then they'll begin work on v6 support) chances are we'll need aftermarket PCMs like the '15 jeeps, so you'll be looking at roughly $1000 for a PCM and Tuner, not really worth the 20hp in my book.

I just got a new 2015 Charger SE with the UConnect 5.0 model without Sirius XM. I've been looking online for an 8.4A R3 without Navigation. One site OEM Autoparts Co.does not carry one for the 2015 model. I'm going to check the local wreck yards to see if there are any with 8.4s.

The screen and the radio are separate parts. If you upgrade the radio then the screen would be a part of that. My mistaken assumption was that you wanted to just upgrade the screen. There are plenty of threads here with successful 8.4 screen upgrades.

Yes. That's it. Guess I didn't drill down for more info. I just clicked the Dodge page and radio pics popped up but none for the 2015 model.

Looks like I'll be upgrading soon.

In the new '15 models, the radio is all one component, the screen is like a tablet with a bunch of connectors. Everything is in there.

VegasMav I too have the 15' Charger and will be upgrading the non XM Uconnect 5.0 to 8.4. The System we currently have is the RA2, the radio's sold on OEMautoparts have been ordered by many. They sell the RA3 $699 and RA4 $999, the difference is that the RA3 does not have NAV or HD radio ( can be updated to have NAV) the RA4 is the mother load all features of the RA3 with add 3D NAV and HD radio. Check out this forum although it is based on the 2015 Challenger it is SOOO helpful to anyone looking to make the upgrade. The components are the same for the Charger and Challenger.
