I did all my paperwork to purchase my scat pack and trade in my 2015 dodge charger rt. They offered me an unlimited miles on limited years bumper to bumper mopar warranty the covers everything except for wear and tear items. I was told this warranty is not good for the SRT vehicles but because this Scat pack is a Dodge RT vehicle it qualifies. They also told me it is also transferable up to one owner when selling to the second owner. all the warranty work can be done at any Dodge dealer and will be Mopar parts. I jumped all over this warranty because I Drive 30,000 miles a year and I have all the technology groups on the vehicle and will not have to ever worry about having to pay to get those fixed. Has anyone had any feedback or heard any bad reviews about this new warranty they're offering. This will be a vehicle I can seriously keep and run it into the ground under warranty the whole time

With your high mileage annual, I would grab it.

I bought the MaxCare extended warranty (7/100) for my SRT and it more than paid for itself.

The 2015 has a lot of new stuff on it and it's the first model year like my SRT was. Also the transferability is an advantage on resale.

I know in the state of Florida they are not able to mess with the price it is set and by law They can't add any extra premium to it. I was wondering if there is any difficulty with wear and tear items like seals or belts that might cause something on the engine or related to fail, that they will consider it wear and tear not and not warranty it.

Not that I have experienced. I had the same MaxCare extended coverage on my SRT and my wife's Grand Caravan SXT and they replaced the pan gasket and valve cover gasket on hers without issue and I've never had a dealer bat an eye at me on Warranty repairs on either vehicle.

I have never had any issue with them playing games around the warranty on either car. If it was broken, they fixed it...and they never tried to deny any warranty work whatsoever.

These cars have been serviced at 3 different dealers in OH, PA and TN and I've never had any problem with warranty work being honored. In fact the opposite has been my experience, they go over the vehicles with a fine-tooth comb looking for issues and apply the warranty to anything they find that needs repair.

I got the same warranty on my Challenger Scat Pack because I also pack the miles on (6 months and I'm already at just under 14,000)

I have the same warranty and I was almost positive that it was not transferable at all. But maybe that's a state-by-state thing.

EDIT: Found this
"In most, but not all, cases remaining coverage may be transferred to a second owner of the vehicle at the time of vehicle sale. A $50 option transfer fee will be applied (in most states). Lifetime coverage is not transferable unless required by state law. Your personalized plan provisions describe the transfer rules applicable to your plan and the transfer fee in your state. If you have financed your Mopar® Vehicle Protection, the plan needs to be paid in full before you can transfer it."

You must live in one of the states that requires it.

And there actually is a limit on the warranty. If I recall, it's 99 years or 999,999 miles. That's probably in there for legal reasons. ;)

It must be a state thing because he told me I couldn't get any price discount because the state of Florida is a fixed price rate I'd have to pay the same at every dealer. Also he was confident I'll be able to transfer it to a second owner and it would help hold my resale value of my car with it having that bumper to bumper unlimited warranty. I will get the info on it in 14 days and will read it over And get the magnifying glass out lol

Not to disappoint you but I wouldn't expect it to help at all with resale.

I recently sold a car with a b2b warranty with multiple years and 60k left. Couldn't get $500 more for the car.

Generally speaking extras don't fetch much. Buy it for piece of mind

That makes sense. I got mine for just a little over $2k, but not transferable.

I just purchased the unlimited warranty for my son's 2012 SRT Challenger for $4,000. It is good for his entire lifetime (He is 27) but is not transferable. :beerchug:

The improvement on resale is due to having a full warranty while you owned it indicating that all repairs were made as necessary. It's a subtle point, but it can have value depending on the buyer (it made a significant difference in price for me when I traded in vehicles to Dodge in the past).

The other thing about Chrysler extended warranties is that you will be reimbursed for the unused portion (time remaining) when you sell the car and cancel the warranty. I got back 75% of my Magnum's warranty price when I bought the SRT.

What happens re: the extended warranty if the car is in an accident and is totaled? IF the lifetime warranty is only $2K, even if it's not transferable, then I would definitely have to consider that!

Yep, it doesn't matter why it was cancelled...once it is, they will reimburse the remaining value (based on the terms of the warranty).
