Hello All:

I am new to this forum as I just purchased a 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T.

I currently have the Uconnect 8.4 with NO navigation.

I have two questions regarding the system.

1) What is the best way to get navigation into the UConnect system?

2) Is there any way to get Siri to work better with the system? Overtime I press the home button on my iPhone 6 Plus, Siri kicks on for like a second and then it just shuts off. So I can't really do anything like voice texting etc. Is there also a way to somehow get Siri to work using the steering wheel controls?

Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Michael K.

Welcome to the forum
There are several ways to add nav.
1: Replace your current 8.4 system with an 8.4N that has Nav. Several places sell them, generally used, sometimes new. You can find info here, easiest way is a search.
2: I actually just posted some info on an add-on system from Advent. It doesn't add an icon right to your screen but it add's nav and a few other features.

As for Siri compatibility, not really. There is no real PTT control (Push to talk) in the Uconnect system. When you hit the voice button you get the Uconnect voice system. The system was never designed to take advantage of PTT functions on your phone. There is no way I know of adding it, you would have to go to an add-on BT system like Parrot to get that type of connectivity.

Thanks for the reply, does anyone know if they've found a fix for the Siri functionality problems? For example, I'll be driving down the road, and press and hold Siri. She comes on for like 1 second and then immediately disconnects. Sometimes this happens every time. Other times, it will work. I don't really know what to do. I've tried updating the UConnect and nothing seems to help.

Cortana/push to talk and text runs pretty well through Bluetooth. Have you tried that route?
