I purchased this the week it was released. So far, I've only gotten to the point of installing the unit which I mounted on the passenger side sitting on the trim panel under the glove box. I hooked up three cameras, 2 for turn signals and a front one, but they are currently sitting on the floor passenger side so I could test unit. The cameras do turn on when the turn signal is activated, and the front camera will come on when the car's speed is around 8 or below. That's as far as I've gotten; too many things going on. Plus I still have to drill the holes for the cameras, they do supply a drill bit with the cameras I purchased for an exact fit. I haven't really played with all the features yet, again just no time. Now the weather is becoming a factor, so I don't know when I'll actually get the cameras mounted.

Hey I was wondering where did you get those cameras from and how and where you going to install them at?

I purchased 3 Securview SV-6703 170 Degree Flush Mount CMOS Color cameras on eBay; paid $90.00 for all three. Two will be mounted into the rear bumper cover, one on each side of car, for the turn signals. The third will be mounted some place on the front of car, not sure where I'm going to put it yet. Each camera came with a drill bit so you know the fit will be perfect.

I got it, the WiFi streaming works great on my Galaxy S5.

Only issue I had was where to install it. I placed it behind the headunit, it was very tight but i managed to screw the head unit back into place. I would like to find another install point.
@PokeydadsRT do you mind taking a couple of pics of where u installed it? how did you get the wiring thru from the head unit to the device?

Thanks.

Cool! So the WIFI streaming is just being able to stream a movie, etc from your phone/tablet to your 8.4" screen right?

The unit is sitting on the trim panel that is under the glove box. While the head unit is out, and the trim panel removed, you can snake the cables through an opening on the right side of where the head unit would be and all the way toward the back. There is a small opening that the cables will go through. Once you drop down that trim panel under the glove box you will see what I mean. The reason I put it there is so there would be easy access to the unit if need be, just drop the trim panel. I recall just two trim fasteners holding it up.

Thank you so much... I will try that... i am afraid the wires might get damaged with the box behind the head unit... plus as you said, it would be much more accessible.

I am yet to install the front cam.

I bout two mirror cams but dont even know where to start with the installation...

I am thinking of putting a 2nd cam on the rear seats to monitor the kids :nerd2: lol

Its actually mirroring the phone on the screen. You need to have the phone in horizontal position.

You need to turn on the Screen Mirror on you Android device.

Its pretty cool!
Hey will it also mirror the navigation mode on your phone or google maps to your screen? or is it just your music and videos

Hi.

It mirrors the phone screen. Doesn't matter what app you are using.

It uses WiDi so it does not interfere with Data or WiFi. You can stream YouTube, or browse the Internet on your car screen.

Its awesome.

Does the touch screen work for your mirroring? Like you "could" leave the phone in the console, and just use your phone from the uconnect?

I do this with my note 3 in my work truck, using a Pioneer appradio3, but I have to plug it in mhl/hdmi. Would love this function in my car, having the uconnect and android features would be spectacular. Wouldnt need Android Auto, or the Apple auto features.

Turn signal activated cams is a very cool feature.
Yeah, I sell Honda vehicles, and we have that feature on our vehicles, called Lanewatch!

It is only on the right mirror, as there is a bigger blind spot on the right side of the vehicle for the driver, than the left side!

I have it installed as well. Now I have a little situation. My Uconnect is up for an update, does anyone know if I have to uninstall the lockpick? My lockpick version is the c8. I am trying to get my car to remote start with the uconnect app. I would greatly appreciate thoughts and opinions.

can someone tell me how they routed the wires for the front camera? I have a front license plate mounted camera but haven't figured the best way to route the cables. they'll go into the grill and come up in the gap between the grill and the radiatior, is that a safe place to bring them up ? Also could I tap power for the camera somewhere under the hood where it is ?
