Some friends and I are taking it upon ourselves to try to work out a twin turbo system for the 5.7...

No real information to be disclosed yet, when we have more info, i'll post it, all I know is this, count on a lot of it being ceramic coated...

When I get my charger(in a few weeks I hope), expect my car to be the guinea pig (figures)...

Later...

 Lets just say i've fallen into a very good position. I make good money now, and dont have to worry about things as much anymore...

I'm willing to test on my vehicle in safe amounts... i'll start off with low boost, then work the engine a little to get it able to hold higher numbers, like 20+ psi :)

I have an SXT neon that i'm designing a twin system for as well, using two tiny lil garrett GT18's, 2 52mm TB's, with a custom intake and exhaust manifold...

I'll ley yall know whats up with the charger twin system as things go...

No real information to be disclosed yet, if you see a magnesium metallic streak accross the sky at least you will know what it is, all I know is this, count on a lot of it being heat tile coated with ejector seat.....

I will have more info in about a year or 10......keep watching!!

Just in case you didn't know...this was a joke......

I actually saw this episode. One guy nearly got his hand blown off when the chute charge went off prematurely (I hate it when that happens :embarrese ). On the losing car, only one of the two 2500 lb-thrust engines (they said that the engines were the same types that are used on the Tomahawk cruise missles), and the car just went around in circles. On the winning car, it took off beautifully. When it landed, it totally demolished the car. It was actually pretty neat to watch. One guy on the losing team is the only person to actually have a model rocket actually reach lower earth orbit.

I know, I sound like a nerd. :geek: :nerd:

since you have the money for a twin turbo, i imagine the 6k difference between an RT and an SRT wouldnt be much...

why not wait for the SRT?

I have a guy in Flordia that is going to make me a custom TT kit when I come up with the money...so that will be either 5 years or never
Knight Turbos down by Miami? They did the prototype a few supercharger systems for the 96-99 Taurus SHO. Nice setup, foolish application (which I'm allowed to say, having owned two of them). For the $15k that setup cost (VERY low production), at 8psi its still a struggle to get to 13.9x. Watch out on the highway though!

Well if your looking for power out of the hemi 5.7 the block would need to be sleeved to hold ant power above 425hp, If you ever watched there was a supercharger that was out for it and got recalled because it kept cracking the block. Now the 6.1 has sleeves and can hold some power.
