I have no idea, never had to mess with my fuses...yet. Unless there is a break in the connection making it so the trunk latch doesn't get the signal.

I had this problem before. When you open the trunk you'll see a tube with wires inside it going from the car the trunk lid, you have a cut there. Common problem really.

I'm not really sure. I have a voltmeter, I would hook up one end of it to a needle and ground the other end. Stick the needle into the wire and see if you get power when when pressing the trunk release button, if not then the break is before the place you put the needle in... idk if that was clear.

Mine was the same problem as well. Except, my issue was not the fuse it was the wires that run from the trunk lid to the trunk itself. If it helps, I had checked fuse number 17 located in the trunk near the spare tire. Be sure to check those cables as well.
