My 2018 charger has the trunk open button stuck inside the trunk. I think i might need to remove the liner inside the trunk to move/replace the button. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Just happened to me over the weekend. If you remove the trunk liner and the silver bolts holding the tail light in, you'll be able to access the button from the backside. The bracket holding my button has rusted away which caused the button to fall out of the cutout. Trying to find the part but I've been told it can only be obtained by purchasing a whole new light bar. Any leads on this would be helpful!

this happened to my 2016 charger too. Bracket rusted away. I am going to make my own bracket since I can’t mind this part anywhere.
Mine also fell inside the tail light. Unable to fish it out......
So I have fallen victim of the button push in. If this rust corrosion isn't the car covered for 7 years for corrosion.? Anyone have a picture of the bracket?
