I don’t know if this is normal or not. Shifting in to drive the trans makes a groaning noise and kind of slides in to forward motion rather than a firm and solid engagement.

When at speed and shifting in to high gear the trans sometimes does the same thing.

Is that normal?

BTW, 09 SXT 3.5 with 3000 miles.

I would say it not normal. Mine doesn't make any groaning noises.
