Well I didn't last long.. I've owned my charger for 45 days and 9 hours and just bought my first mods. I seriously could not wait any longer haha, I've been researching what I want to do since before I got the car.
So I went with the afe stage 2 CAI and the diablo sports intune. Got a sweet package deal from Kris at speedlogix. I'll keep you all updated on the install when it gets here! Quick question I was thinking about, would it be okay to install the CAI on a slope? My driveway is like a 45° angle, my garage has a camper in it, and I'd rather not do it on the street just in case I completely screw it up somehow and can't drive it.

Not sure if serious, but anyway...giving the benefit of the doubt:

There is no reason you can't install a CAI on a sloped driveway, even though I highly doubt it's anywhere near a 45 degree slope. LMAO. That would be nuts.

Also it's a very simple procedure; if I can do it anyone can. I don't see how you could 'screw it up' and even if you couldn't install it for some strange reason you could still drive the car.

Haha okay maybe more like 25 degree slope but it's steep I hate it. And from watching videos I figure I can do it no problem too but I've heard of some people breaking the temp sensor so I would just rather do it on my driveway. Thanks for the reply flex

Idk how people break the IAT, it's pretty sturdy. I'm a fairly clumsy brute, and I have had no problem everytime I've messed with it.

You could install a CAI while the car is suspended upside down and it wouldn't matter.

Even taking your time. Installing a CAI shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes. It's extremely simple.

Good luck!

thanks Krewzer. I think I'm gonna make a video accelerating stock, then with the afe, then with the intune. I say that now but no promises the box might get ripped open the second it's delivered haha.

I got a price from speedlogix on a CAI and intune also. If you don't mind me asking, what did u pay? Just curious before I buy mine.

They told me 560$ for everything.

I had a quick question about the tuner. If I wan't to try out the 91 octane tune when I get it, are there any steps I need to know about switching fuels? Sorry if it's a stupid question but I was just wondering since I am running 89 octane right now, do I need to try and drive it to almost empty and then refuel with 91 before loading the tune? Or can I just load the tune and fill up with 91 the next time I need to?

that was fast!

I wonder if I'm getting both things at once.

Anybody else have info on how to first setup a 91 tune?

Very nice. I love my AFE. It was my first mod on my Charger. Sounds awesome under WOT. You'll love it even more once you install a CAI tune! It really wakes the car up.

My first mod too! Ill throw a picture up when I get home. Which CAI tune are you running super trooper? Like I said above, I wan't to try out that 91 cai tune and I'm wondering what's the best way to switch from 89 to 91.

I'm running the 93 octane CAI tune because all the gas stations around my area carry 93. Run your tank until it's nearly empty, fill with 91, run that down and then fill again with 91. You won't hurt anything not doing it that way, I just like being over-cautious.

Alright thanks bro. No 93 around me.. When I do the first fill up on 91, can I just do like a half tank, run that down then fill again with 91 and tune?

I accidentally filled the whole tank with 91 because I was walking around staring at it lol. So I guess I'm doing a full tank first anyways. Here's the cai in my bay

I'm obsessed with this sound. First mustang tried to race me today, I was going half throttle to stay with him cause I wasn't sure if he was trying to or not and then I could hear him floor it and I just put a little more pressure on the pedal and flew past him haha. Nice feeling especially since I still had more pedal I could push down

Alright so the tuner came in and is updated. Can anybody tell me how long it takes to write a canned tune? I have an hour break from work in a little and wondering if I should tune it during that time or wait till after work....

45 DAYS!!!!!! My gosh what took you so long? I had my first mod ordered the day my car showed up at the dealership. A week later I was in the garage drilling holes in a brand new car to install it (spoiler). You've got some serious will power.
