yeah, with me wanting to sell my AV before taking delivery of the Charger, I will be paying 8.1% on the purchase price... plus whatever registration comes to...MidnightCharge said:Yep, state and county taxes. I didn't have a trade in so I paid taxes on the purchase price.
Here in CO, we are charged sales tax based on county. Mine is 7.59%. for a 35000 price, that is just over $2600. This does not include the hit I am going to take to get it plated. Most likely about $400 or $500 in "ownership" tax to license with DMV. CO gets you coming and going.DAYTONA_R/T said:keep in mind... some of us live in states that charge sales tax...![]()

I get it now. I was just talking about the "ownership" tax. I had a trade-in, so I don't know about the sales tax...CO-Charger said:Here in CO, we are charged sales tax based on county. I've been looking into tinting for the past couple days, and I don't see another alternative to film tinting. What exactly is "getting the glass smoked"? Can any explain the alternatives, price, method, etc?lammy said:For the window tint, are you geting a film tint or are you getting the glass smoked. I want to tint as well, but am afraid of getting aftermarket film tint done and having it lift and bubble after some time.
Question, you ordered yours only 7 days before I did mine. How is it that you know it will be there in 2 1/2 weeks? You have some way of tracking the VON#. Did you get a VIN# yet? Thanks for any inside help you might pass on.Shoup said:I had to pay 8.75% for the taxes in this great city of Chicago. But the fact that I will be one of the first to have the Daytona in GoManGo (ordered on the 7th of June    ) I am not complaining what so ever. Plates cost me $63 to transfer and supposedly in 2-1/2 more weeks I will be strapping that orange monster under my rear for some real fun.

I work midnights so I was sleeping when the dealer called, but supposedly they have my VIN# and I was talking to the owner of the dealership I went through and was talking to him about ship dates etc. He said he will be getting it within 4-6 weeks, then he added that he knew for a fact that it would take 3. So I am takin his word for it. He has owned the place for 25 years so, I figured if anyone knew he would.CO-Charger said:Question, you ordered yours only 7 days before I did mine. Sorry to hear that brooks. However, each state sets their own tinting laws. Here in Colorado it comes down to two options (per the tinting installers I have spoken to recently). You can go as dark as you want with the rear side windows as long as you leave the front side windows stock.brooks said:im currently located just outside of chicago
my local police are insane about tints
i would love to do it, but have gotten tickets for it in the past
some of my friends were even told to rip it off in front of the cop or else get a ticket for some crazy excessive amount
not sure if the tints is worth the chance of police annoyance![]()
