If done correctly it is pretty easy to peel off. Just make sure you have 4-5 coats and you should be good. First coat very light. Second heavier. Third-fifth thick coats. About 5 cans should get all 4 rims covered well. I have quite some experience with plasti dip, and only encountered hard peeling when there was not enough coats. Good luck. :beerchug:

Easy as pie. I did the factory 20's on my Ram with about 2-3 cans. I'm not really a fan of the black rim look, but figured I'd try because it was cheap. It wasn't a walk in the park to take off, but it wasn't that bad. No permanent affects so even if it does take a little time to remove, it's not like it hurts anything.

Also like michiganpat, I did the pockets on my '10 SXT. Not bad, but I wasn't happy with the lines, so I peeled it off. It came of those pretty easy. I'm not sure what made one harder to remove than the other, except that maybe because I had it on the Ram rims longer.

Either way, it's easy to do, doesn't cost a lot (even if you do use 5 cans), and is completely reversible without any negative affects to the rims. Certainly worth a shot.

Here's the rims I was referring to.

Also from what I understand it's a good way to change a look for a bit in the winter and protect the rims from salt/ice/etc if you're in that part of the country like Shots and I.

I have 18 inch wheels that I did. Took about 2 to 3 cans, and very easy to take off if you want to.

When it's fresh, it peels easily...but that changes over time with exposure to temperature and the elements.

Just be aware that if you leave PD on wheels for a long time, it gets a LOT harder to remove as it gets baked on with braking heat and weather exposure. Many members who left it on for a year or two have complained of how hard it was to eventually remove.

Plastidipping is a great option for low cost change up to your wheels. I have done quite a bit with plasti

Mine were black, now they are anthracite gray dip.

Sorry for the slow replay. Yeah, 2-3 cans will be plenty to do all 4 of your rims. Don't worry about it being difficult to remove. Worst case, it still comes off without damage to the rim, it just takes you a little longer to remove. It generally peels off in pretty big pieces, but as it ages it seems to get more brittle, and comes off in smaller pieces. In these situations, I've heard all it takes is peeling a small area, and then a pressure washer takes the rest right off.
