my cousin has a 300 c and he told me to get seat cover cause the seat and leather in the cars are real easy to mess up and after a while in the sun u see lines in the leather... do any of you guys have cover and if u do what kind and where you get them from? and how much?

Real leather will develop character over time, and IMHO, the character makes it more attractive. But, the R/T has simulated leather, not real leather. Not sure how it will react over time.

The simulated leather is only on the Daytona models and the Road & Track packages. (Anything with the "Prefered seats package") The regular R/T/SXT/SRT8 with leather package is real leather.

I feel the same way. It seems quite sturdy and shouldn't crack like leather sometimes does. It is easy to clean and take care of. IMO. :grin:

A little off topic.But since the Daytona seats ore not leather ,what cleaner and conditioner are you using on these seats? I want too be carefull not to darken the orange stitching in my seats. Hope somebody has an answer. Jim

if so you can treat them with the same stuff. vinyl is just more durable and last longer.

This is true for the RT, but the piece of real leather is very small. The real leather is the center of the seat bottom. i.e., the real leather is in the same place as the fake suede on the Daytona -- there is not much of it. The sides of the seat bottom, the entire seat back and the sides of the seat are all fake.

I am ok with the fake... It still looks and feels very good to me and will probably wear much better than the real leather.

I think the same is true for the SXT and SRT8 -- but I am not sure.

Be careful with the type of seat cover you use. They affect the airbag sensors in the passenger front seat.

From page 49 of the 2006 owners manual:

"The front passenger seat assembly contains critical components that affect the front passenger airbag deployment. Correctly functioning front passenger seat components are critical for the Occupant Classification System(OCS) to properly classify the front passenger and calculate the proper airbag deployment. Do not make any modifications to the front passenger seat components, assembly, or to the seat cover.
The following requirements must be strictly adhered to:

1. Do not modify the front passenger seat assembly or components in any way.

2. Do not modify the front seat center console or center position seat in any way.

3. Do not use prior or future model year seat covers not designated for the specific model being repaired. Always use the correct seat cover specified for the vehicle.

4. Do not replace the seat cover with an aftermarket seat cover.

5. Do not add a secondary seat cover other than those approved by DaimlerChrysler/Mopar.

Warning!
Unapproved modicications or service procedures to the front passenger seat assembly, its related components, or seat cover may inadvertently change the airbag deployment in case of frontal crash. This could result in death or serious injury to the front seat passenger if the vehicle is involved in an accident."
