Ever since the Hellcat was introduced, written about extensively, and now hitting the streets, I have noticed an increase in Charger awareness across the spectrum. Acquaintances who know I drive a Charger will strike up a Charger related conversation, usually with the Hellcat as an icebreaker. And even though mine is just an older RT that I've had since 2008, I've had more compliments on it than I noticed earlier. This after a few years of quiet ownership not hearing a peep.
Overall, it seems that it's finally sinking in to many that the entire Charger lineup is something different and special, standing out among the cookie cutter front wheel drive sedans and crossovers as a proudly rear wheel drive modern muscle car with a huge dose of practicality/daily usefulness.

I think the Hellcat's halo car marketing value is working as planned and casting a buzz across the whole Charger range. 0:)

All it took for me was cutting a hole in the headlamp and putting on that front lip. guys look at it and ask if it was a special model.... Nah man it's just a decepticon...

If I am to be honest with myself the hellcat is probably the reason why I ended up buying my 2012. I never considered a charger and once I did the research I was hooked.

Halo effect working, good. Anything to shed the image of Chargers as police cars or rental cars. For a while it sounded like the LX cars were doomed to slip into fleet car status like the Ford Panther cars, but if a halo car moves new V6 and 5.7 units out of show room floor than all the better.
