great idea and thread. You could add KW coilovers info. Also...may want to add sway bar sizes/options since they tend to be popular suspension adds too.

Nice work!

Could we add some information about wheel spacers? I remember reading someone saying that AWDs might be able to use 20" R/T & SRT style wheels, but that spacers would be required. Did anyone ever find out anything more about this?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the offset is greater on the AWD wheel, then if we added a spacer to make up for the difference on the RWD wheel, wouldn't the wheel's position be the same?

Newbie lowering kit / suspension Q n A

So, i get 20" Foose nitrous wheels, and love them. But of course, there is always the next step. In a perfect world I would buy a coilover suspension kit with sway bars, but...

Can i get away with buying just lowering springs? Eibach pro kits seem popular and readily available. And i want to lower the ride but not damage my car so try and recommend a ride if you like. I don't need to be in DUB pages with my car, but i want it to look sharp.

Is there a downside to buying just the springs?

Do i need to get anything else if i want to lower the ride and will have to wait to spend the real money on a coilover suspension kit?

Will it change my clearance and ride in the winter months, and the pothole city which is now left in the viaducts, bridges and obstacle course in Chicago?

Let me know your thoughts as digging through old posts and sticky wears my eyes down.

I am obviously new and mechanically limited so try and be as informative as possible with the feedback

Pedders USA should be added to your list

Pedders suspension offers a complete suspension package for the LX product including just about every bushing in the front and rear end. Plus shocks/sruts, and multiple choices of coils. We even offer custom made adjustable sway bars that are made specifically for the Track II product.

When the car is drvien hard, there are mutliple issues going on wih bushes and such. So check us out. As far as I know, Pedders is the only one who offers this level of suspension upgrades

Rob at Westfield did the first test fit. the front is quite different that RWD, so I think they have enough info to be able to continue on the development of the AWD. So be patient buddy. Pedders will come thru!!
