This started happening a few months ago just now getting around to asking about it. When I'm driving usually between 20mph and 40mph when i let off the gas theres this tapping noise coming from the rear, can hear it pretty well with the car being gutted. If i give it any gas it goes away and it gets faster or slower based on rpms. Looked under it briefly the other day and didn't see anything obvious. Also sometimes my esp/bas light comes on and i noticed today that if the light is off i Don't hear the noise. I'll try to get a video later if i can.

So the noise appears when you remove the load. I would raise it up inspect things for play starting with the drive shaft and CV axles.
