It's either the water pump or the bearing on the idler pulley. Normally, I'd say the odds would be in favor of the bearing, but my water pump seized up tight on my 2017 Scatpack at just over 20k miles.

Caught that in the nick of time. That's about as bad as it can get before it sh!tz the bed. Fortunately, it's easy to replace.
