Steering Rack

Has anyone else had any problems with their steering rack yet? Mine is going to be replaced on Tuesday because the tie rods are loose and the rack is leaking fluid. Just curious if anyone else has had an issue with the steering or tie rods? Luckily I have a 100,000 mile service contract on the car so all I gotta pay is the deductible. :)

There were some posts about clunking issues which were run down to be the tie rod ends. Might not be an isolated failure.
