New poster here; I used the search and couldn't come up with what I was looking for.

Is there an easy way to find SRT certified dealers in your area? Better yet, do we have a chargerforums.com-friendly SRT dealer in the region? I sure don't mind flying 1-way to save thousands on a vehicle. I vaguely remember an SRT dealer in Kansas...

Egads, that would be a long a$$ drive back to Texas! I was thinking in the 5-state area. Then again, where I grew up, it's closer to The great lakes than to Mexico. :)

It's a nice, easy 3 day drive from Amarillo to Hampton, VA, but it can be done in 2 (1 day from Amarillo to Nashville, and 11 hours from Nashville to Hampton). I made it in 4 days on my motorcycle (it took that long only because I ran into a bad thunderstorm in Nashville and had to spend an extra night), and I've driven/ridden to/from Nashville from/to Hampton in 10-11 hours a few times.

As much as I'd like to come out to VA and see a fellow Techsan, I don't want to be away from my family for 3 days (I get baby daughter withdrawls after a day or two). A salesman at Frontier Dodge in Lubbock said they were SRT certified, but he wasn't terribly knowledgable on the SRT4 or SRT8. I will check in Amarillo when I go up there next time.

I still think it's great that many salesman don't give a potential customer credit when they say "I'm fairly knowledgable about the SRT" etc. I told a green-pea that I most likely knew more about it than him, and he smugly replied, "I doubt that." I asked a couple of questions about the braking system, etc, and he was clueless. I politley said "thanks" and drove off.

Give a call to Mac Hak in Temple Texas and ask for the Gooch or better yet get online and ask for a quote for the car you want using all dealerships in the state. They will probable be the first dealership in Texas to get the SRT8 as they got the first and largest selection of Chargers. People from Dallas and Huoston were flying in to test drive the Charger.

If you're even in Dallas, Dallas Dodge seems to have the most knowledgable staff I have found. Their parts guys are top notch and the sales/ordering department were great. My Charger SRT8 arrived well ahead of schedule and exactly as ordered.

Clear lake dodge in the south houston area has a metallic black srt8 on the showroom floor. I would suggest using the dodge website to find what you're looking for. i found my mango daytona in houston that way, 2 dealers had them, clear lake dodge had mine, another one further north in houston had the other, still has it actually, saw it last night.

clear lake dodge seems to get specialty dodges, they used to have like 3 vipers, but now they have...metallic black srt8, top banana daytona, red ram srt10. i figure they would be a good bet to find a hawd dodge.

I got my SRT8 at Frank Parra in Irving close to DFW Airport. They are SRT certified and sell a lot of SRT8 aqs well as SRT10 Ram truicks, and Vipers. They are also a chevy dealer and the largest corvette dealer in the south, so they know their stuff.

Talk to Angela Jones in fleet/internet sales for the best deal... I got a hell of a deal on mine - I haven't talked to anyone who did as well as I did on price and I really didnt have to negotiate too hard. They were just great to work with.
