Hello All,

I have a SRT8 charger and its time to replace the brakes. I have looked through the forums and come to find that most of you have replaced your brakes with the bendix, the satisfied, and some with hhf hawks.

I am getting ready to order and wanted to know, how do you feel about the pads you are running.

I am willing to let go of a little stopping power for decreased brake dust! Anybody want to share their story experience?

Thanks,

James

Welcome to the forums. I have hawks now and I don't notice any difference other than the fact that there is nearly no brake dust. I do hear an occasional squeal at low speeds like once every few days but I'll gladly take an occasional noise to get rid of the dust.

Thanks for the quick reply!

What were the p\n for the front and rear brake pads? Do you remember where you ordered them from?

Thanks,

James

I got them from speedlogix but most of the sites out there make you input what your vehicle is so you don't mess up. No I can't remember the product number and my saved invoice doesn't have it only a detailed item description.

The Satisfied GS seem to be the most popular pad, but I think they went out of business...so I would probably go with another brand. Stick with the stock slotted rotors, they are good and cheap.

Welcome to the forums....you will probably get as many different recommendations for pads as there are different manufacturers...

I have the Centric Posi-Quiets (well I have them in the box to install) and have used them on 2 other SRT (SRT8 & SRT10) vehicles I owned...little difference in stopping power and stops 80%+ of the brake dust.....I had no problems with squeeling on either vehicle and have been well satisfied them....

That said, if you plan to run your car on road course tracks you will want to stay with the OEM pads as they work well under racing conditions..

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I'm finding that as soon as I settle on a few, there are a few more to take a look at. I do remember reading on a few other postings of users having issues with the Centric Posi-Quiets in the rain/wet driving conditions. I guess since you are satisfied with them you never had these issues?

No, never had any problems wet or dry...between the 2 vehicles I put 50,000+ miles on the Posi-Quiets...

Hello All,

So, I've taken an interest in the HAWK pads. I'm still open for advice on other pads, it just seems that most guys are having good stories behind these. Now I just need to find a good vendor who sells the Hawk's at a reasonable price...
