Sounds like issues with Rebound, not compression in the springs?
Sounds like issues with Rebound, not compression in the springs? No. my car feels perfectly stiff when I try to bounce each corner, it's just on certain roads that the rear gets a little bouncy. I paid close attention today and realized it's only when it bounces upward that I notice it. Dips don't trigger it, only quick rises.
The rear shock on the '06 are self-leveling Nivomats, not Bilsteins.
How much would something like that run?Exactly, and why I said the shocks are due for replacement. The springs are fine.
Not bad at all.$450-550 for parts plus install.
That's real cool man, lucky!Even when I buy a new SRT, I'm keeping this one. I have big plans in the works for her and even more when she becomes my "hobby" car.
I really wanted a Hellcat, but it doesn't make sense for me as a daily driver and I would need a second car. I was going to use this car as that "second" car, but a particular mod that I wanted for a long time suddenly dropped in my lap...so my plans changed.
Yeah, my wife was telling me how bad the winters are in PA, she's from Montrose, and in that case, the upper HP and RPM ranges would be unusable without sliding and messing something up from the icy dirt spray up-splash.The HC would be fine for a lot of the year, but with the crappy weather we get between late October and early April, I wouldn't want to be driving that car daily. I would also want something that is lower in low end torque for winter.
Total HP isn't the whole story especially with the HC. Sure you can use the black key, but the low end torque is huge making it a beast to try to drive in the snow and muck.
It can be done, but I'm not sure I would want to on my daily commute. The SRT 392 is more manageable in those conditions.
