Hi all..
Asking for a little help here before I take this to the dealer. I'm experiencing especially early in the morning after first starting it a squeel that seems to be coming from the back of the car. It happens when I back out of the garage every morning and for at least the first 15 or 20 mins in the car. Also seems that sometimes there is a high pitched squeel coming from the front of the car too on turns. Not sure what could be causing it.. I have an 06 RT. Any help out there?
Thanks!

Could be that the fluids are too cool... or the brake discs are rusted and just need to be cleaned off by the pads, but that would be more a grinding noise... hmmmmmmmmmm

No it is kind of a whining sound and it happens when you accelerate. Back end noise has been going on for a week or 2... The front end whine only started this week....

How many miles on the car? Brakes are the first thing that the dealer will check. There is nothing in the front but the hub assembly, and if that was going bad it would do it all the time. If the rear diff. was making a noise it would make a roaring noise. Do you have exsesive brake dust on the wheels? With the noise going away in 15-20min makes me think brakes.

Roaring how? Like a grinding noise? This is more like a squeal really but I don't think it is brakes because I'm not braking at all when it is making the noise.. I swear my rotors were warped around 10K and I pointed it out but they were "unable to duplicate" of course.. Now I know the steering wheel shakes when I brake at 60-70mph which leads me to think the rotors are warped just like I thought they were back when it was under warranty. I don't think this is brakes though. I have about 25k on it.

If the brake indicater is starting to touch you won't have to be useing the brakes for it to make noise. Thats what it is there for, to warn you before it gets into the rotors. It can make noise when turning, backing up, brakeing. With that many miles, it sounds like it may be about time. (Depending on driving conditions). Are you able to look in and see the caliper? You my be able to see how much pad is still left.

Well I finally got her into the dealership and it turns out that my problem was related to the rack and pinion. As the days wore on with this it became much more of a whining noise and definitely in the front of the car. I was somehow leaking power steering fluid and that was causing the whining. They are replacing the rack tomorrow.

Hmm, should have something like this for whining from women, replacing the rack would allow us to at least put up with it more:)

J/K ladies... all in fun!!!
