I have a 2007 Dodge Charger SE 3.5L V6, and its been great to me...that is until about 6 months ago. I won't get into the details about that unless it's absolutely necessary (maybe it's a computer problem).

My girlfriend left the key in the ON position, and killed the battery. While I was at work, she jump started it. I never had to do that before, and based on the results of researching this, apparently it's not a good idea. Since then, the following is happening:

-Speedometer gauge does not respond
-These lights in the dash stay lit: BRAKE, ABS, EBS, BAS, and Check engine light (although the check engine has been going on and off due to a crankshaft positioning sensor error - started 6 months ago as mentioned above)

All other gauges work. Before you tell me it's time to get a new cluster because it's a bad speedometer, I did the cluster diagnostic test by holding the tripometer reset while turning ignition ON and all gauges responded, including the speedometer. I tested the battery which was at about 13 volts (so I don't think it's a bad battery), but I still charged it for 15 minutes as another forum suggested but it didn't help. It may (or may not) be important to mention that four weeks ago it was at the dealership to get (2) "MOPAR FLASH UPDATES" that I was told were necessary to update the computer.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I am looking to upgrade to a newer model soon! Thanks.

UPDATE:

I called the dealership, and they think it's a speed sensor. Of course there's more than one speed sensor, and they say you need a computer diagnostic ($90) to find out which one. Dropped the car off there, and now it's looking like 2 blown fuses. I never checked the fuses because I didn't have the time to go through everyone. One of the blown fuses was for the ABS. Figures.
