22's with a heavy foot dont do good together.
was driving on the freeway and the banana started shakin like a tweek
on the bends. non stop was thinkin the rims were the problem put the stocks back on and same thing. took it to the dealer and come to find out I had a broken coupler sweet :driving:

One of these days I want to be able to go into the dealer's Service Dep't and tell them: "She's got a bad shimmy at 140. Fix it, will ya?!"

:laugh:

I can't do that now, because I don't actually have that problem... ;)

were the wheels the culprit for breaking the coupler
not sure but can only say my driving plus heavy wheels and burnouts
cant be good.
so Im gonna have fun on the stocks for now..

my guess would be the burnouts do more damage than the 22s
yeah plus 2 stock tires weight as much as 1 22'' foose.
whats done is done now I know.

i had a grand ol time blasting through the twisties when i visited my sister in conecticut at like 3 in the morning, cutouts open. they do alright.

Coupler... that's a new one on me. But, yeah... it's a coupler.

called me today to tell me the drive shaft was also damaged.
I dont know what to say.

What coupler ?
Drive Shaft with universal connecting the halves.



Connection at the tranny is the same as the one at the rear.


I'm surprised more of these haven't broken with our 4000 lb cars going 11.XX in th 1/4

BTW this is a drive shaft and rear from an SRT, waiting on the axles:rocker:

i've always called the two piece connector a carrier bearing and the connector to the rear end the u-joint, but as long as you get it fixed, it doesn't matter what they're called
