Finally gave her a bath, actually gave both of them a bath. So here are some pics of the Charger and my daily driver, a Caprice SS.

Wow, nice car! Black is one beautiful color for the Charger! :jawdrop:
I saw you have got the SSBC brake calipers mounted on your car, was it an easy swap?
And is it worth it? (Is it correct that you can keep the same rotor size with these calipers than with the stock calipers?)

The swap isnt too hard, thankfully I had 2 guys who knew what they were doing helping, but very clear instructions are included.

Yes, you use standard size rotors, and if you upgrade the rotors (as I did) you need to keep it the stock size.

As for is it worth it. I truthfully dont remember what the stock brakes felt like. I upgraded the brake lines that same weekend, and so the combo works for me, and to me the difference is enough to be worth it. They are much better than the stock ones that came on my base RT.

No sir. The closest car in the US to this car is the G8. The G8 is a Lumina SS here. The Caprice is slightly larger with a bit more luxury parts in it, same 6.0 liter 362 hp motor though. while the Lumina and G8 are more sporty inside.

But I really wonder why you guys dont get all these US based cars in the US.

The stock brakes on my Daytona felt like hitting a big sponge with your foot... :D
I upgraded my rotors (mine were warped quite rapidly...) and got better brake pads and I also got Stoptech stainless steel braided brake lines but I'm still not 100% satisfied! I know that the Charger is a heavy and a fast car, but the brakes could have more bite and they should have less fade. I once asked my dealership about a swap to the SRT Brembos, and they told my the system would cost about 8000 euros, which is about 11000 dollars!!!!! :confused:
So, I was considering to buy the SSBC calipers, but they're not that cheap either (I found them around 1000 dollars if my memories are good).
I'll see, maybe a big brake system by Stoptech or the SSBC calipers?! :confused:

Yeah, they cost about that much. And I also got the stoptech lines.

Truthfully, if you expect brembo type performance you wont get it with these. But I was on a tight budget, and they are a great improvement. She doent feel like the sluggish sponge as you put it anymore.

The dealer here told me the brembos would cost about the same. So that was out of the question.

I know! Please dont tempt me. My fiance has really put her foot down on the whole modding a 2nd car thing. :notsigned: = her.

Looks real good and i agree the SS is not a bad looking car for a chevy :D

tail pipes = It's a borla 125 system. Rims = Bought them off of Aretee here on the site. You should ask him where he got them originally.
