Hello! I have an '06 SXT that has become a bit too...cushy...of a ride. The dealer swears the shocks are fine, however I bottom out frequently and in places that a family member's 2000 Civic glides over with ease. :)

My guess is poor shocks. Any other ideas?

I see a lot of people here like the coil overs, but most of those seem to be geared at the RT. Would they work on an SXT? What would anyone suggest for a good shock-only replacement for the SXT?

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!

upgrade to ST's coilovers, its racing suspension with height adjustment, so basically you are lowering the ride while tightening it up, no more bouncing and better handling!

Nice soft cushy springs....big heavy car....yeah, pretty much what Spenosk8ter said.

Get stiffer spings. Make sure you then get shocks to match.
Do you want to lower the car? Look at Eibach ProKit

Check your tire pressure as well. Mine calls for 44 psi and when I checked them they were all about 10 short.
