In our tests, the Scat Pack’s 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi backed up by a new ZF eight-speed automatic shot the car (which features launch control) to 60 mph in a scant 4.1 seconds and down the quarter-mile in 12.4. While that’s 0.7-second tardier to 60 and a full click less speedy through the quarter-mile than the supercharged 707-hp Hellcat, it’s a second quicker from zero to 60 and 1.2 seconds faster to the quarter-mile mark than a garden-variety, 370-hp 5.7-liter Hemi-powered Charger R/T. The Scat Pack’s lateral grip and braking numbers are even more Hellcatish. Rolling on smaller-size summer tires (245/45R-20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars versus the Hellcat’s 275/40R-20 Pirelli P Zeros), the Scat Pack’s 0.91 g of skidpad grip was just 0.03 g shy of the Hellcat’s and its 153-foot 70-to-zero braking performance matched that of the 200-plus-pound heavier feline from you-know-where. You could say the Brembo binders have your Scat Pack back.

The 15 Scat Pack is faster in the 1/4 mile - 12.4 vs 13.2

It costs the same

Skidpad - 0.91 v 0.86

MPG - 15/25 v 14/19

I wonder how much the goodyear F1 tires help because I ran a 12.7 in a scatpack with the eagle RS-A 2 245s my first time ever at the track. So I can see 12.4 with a professional being no problem.

yea, I was eye-balling one of those myself. but by the time I had all the options I wanted, it was near the same price as the SRT. but, with a fully optioned SRT I was 4-5k lower with the skat-pak. not a bad idea.

Yeah this topic of Scat vs SRT has been thoroughly beaten down in another thread. But 4-5k is about right on the price difference. SRT comes with the selectable suspension and better brakes so worth the extra $ for sure.

Best deal On a scat is the base model at $40k. The options really add up fast and put it close to the 48k mark. Kinda similar to the bee.

I agree. Went with the F1s and Beats Audio. The F1s grip very well! SRT, Scat Pack it's all good. The adjustable suspension would be cool, but I have to draw the line somewhere lol. The adjustable steering is great too BTW. Never had Brembos before I am very impressed. Really liking the 8 speed and 3.09 gears.

If I had test driven one of these and still had my 2012 I would be putting 3.92 gears in it that is for sure. What a blast!!!

I'm super stoked to see if my 2015 SRT Charger 392 can post similar or better numbers with the bigger tires and adjustable suspension!

You might be able to do better in the 1/4 mile with better traction from the wider tires and set the suspension to the softest setting to help with weight transfer to get better traction at the launch.

It's a bit like we used to do back in the day by putting 6 cyl torsion bars in a V8 car to get the front to unload faster and lift up transferring the weight to the rear wheels. It was usually worth 2-3 tenths on sticky rear tires.
