Hi all,
I'm new here, and have my charger R/T to include the Road and Track Performance Package. It is my understanding that for those of us who don't want the Daytona decals should order the R/T with the Road and Track Performance Package because it gives everything ie. exhaust, suspension, stearing that the Daytona with out the decals. Is this correct? Just want to make sure I'm getting everything I ordered. Thanks everyone.

Yes, you are correct. Ordering the performance package gives you the suspension upgrades, seat upgrades and all the other goodies of the Daytona package, only without the attention grabbing colors.

JWELAND, We ordered a new 2006 R/T with Road and Track Performance Package
for my wife in June. It arrived two weeks ago and the car is awesome. She did not
want the graphics of the Daytona, but wanted the rest of the goodies. The R/T
Hemi is a great car - we test drove one before ordering. The R&T Performance
Package upgrades make for an even sweeter driver's car. Ours is Inferno Red - let
us know when yours arrives. You're gonna love it!!!

There is one difference in the exhaust since the Daytona uses a straight-through muffler and the RT with R&T PP has a baffled muffler making the sound note on the RT a little quieter than on the Daytona. Still produces 350hp.

I am going to fix that problem of it being too quite by installing the Zoomers exhaust. Should just be mean sounding with that exhaust.......can hardly wait to order mine in February......the wait is the killer though since I know I have to wait that long.

Thanks for all the welcomes and info. I'm counting the days until I get mine. So, for anyone who's gotten an R/T with the Road and Track Performance package, or a Daytona, do you think your exhaust is loud enough? I am going to add a Mopar CAI, but am assuming one of the benefits to getting the R & T Perf. Package or Daytona is that you have a better flowing exhaust? Any thoughts on this? If I had the CAI to it, would anyone agree I'd be good, or do you all recommend I throw a better exhaust on? Thanks again.

hi all!!!! Name is Corey and I'm from Massachusetts and am looking at getting a charger! Like most of you i want the daytona performance but without the " arrest me" signs. Can i build and price one on the dodge website or do i have to go to the dealer to build it with that option? I don't remember seeing the road/track pkg plan on the charger build and price screen. Help me please!!!! Im torn between silver steel, black, or midnight blue. All my family matters have different ones they like, but im partial to the silver steel. Anyone here with one and if so how do you like the car and the color

Hi Corey - When we priced our R/T with R&T Perf Pkg in June, the Charger Build and
Price screen on the Dodge website did not have the R&T Perf Pkg. You can build the
car then add $1600.00 for the package. Add the other options you want and it should
come out OK. That's what we did, then went to the dealer to place the order. The
price was exactly the same. Can't think of any reason why it would different now.

Ours is Inferno Red, but they look good in all colors. We saw Black which looked
good, and also saw the Silver Steel which looked good too. You won't be
disappointed! Let us know what your decide...

When at the Dodge build your own website you can add the performance package. It does not list it under the heading performance package, but at the top where it says seats you can click on the upgraded seats with the suede inserts, and that will prompt a box that asks you if you want to do this.... it increases your price by 1600 and does not allow you to use convenience group II, which is included in the 1600 price of the performance package. Also when the final screen is shown when you are viewing the charger you built it will not show the performance package on the vehicle summary, it just shows the performance seats and the price is included in the total. I hope that helps.

Thanks all that makes more sense. I believe im going with the silver steel color. I have some work to do to my truck before trading it. Like removing 15,000 dollars worth of audio/visual components!!! i have about 7,000 dollars in the motor and just removing a bit of that stuff as well so as soon as that's done.....charger induced cloud 9 here i come!!!!! thanks again all
