is it just me or is this an amazing price for cutouts? they dont seem to have the down blast pipes or whatev tho.

anyone with a bit more experience on cutouts able to speak a lil on how much they paid for the cutouts. and then how much install was?.

ive been eager to try something like this in the future cuz the sound is beyond amazing. but last i remember seeing was average cost around 1000 bucks. shrug

what would be a reason cutouts would fail(i.e. need warranty?) i mean... maybe if u dropped your car. and had long tubes with a catback that would scrape on speed bumps?

idk. arent the dmh ones like 4x as expensive?

Remote control e-cutouts. That's a great idea - I like it...

.pb - cutouts open up your exhaust to let the engine exhale better. It is like breathing out of your mouth through a straw and then without. I'm not sure about a huge HP gain unless it is all part of an intake and exhaust package including a cold air intake, bigger throttle body, and hedders.

You are not going to much if any hp gain from e-cutouts. What you WILL get is a car that sounds as awesome as it looks! Basically it just bypasses the exhaust, giving you pure engine roar, and seat of the pants bliss. You WILL p.o. the neighbors though.
I want some
:)
Oh, and a group of guys in vegas paid about 650 installed for theirs.

I plan to get some e-cutouts too later this year. I want to have the luxury of being loud & stealth, with the flip of a switch. My baby boy will ride with me once in a while, and a loud exhaust (borla, magnaflow, SLP, etc) would probably wouldn't be a good idea, so I will compromise with the e-cutout :) I'm tired of having the R/T sound like a hybrid vehicle. lol

Why? If my engine is running, I'm in the car. What on earth would I need remote controls for? Am I missing something?
Uhm yah, so you don't have to get under your car and open them by removing the plate every time, easier to flip a switch or hit a button than bolt/unbolt the damn things all the time.

Actually, they can help performance, but it depends on your existing setup. If you want to run a nice quiet stock exhaust, but want a way to bypass those mufflers when you need to, that's where cutouts are perfectly suited.

I have zoomers on my srt8, would cutouts do anything for me?

yes. they make it so your exhaust dumps out right before it enters your zoomers system.

so it sounds like its comin right out of the cats, rather than thru your exhaust.

loud as hell. but you lose the zoomers sound

If you already have a 3" catback exhaust, cutouts won't do much except make you loud as hell. It would be a good combo to have the Corsa exhaust and some cutouts though, so it's nice and quiet until you want to offend people, then you open the cutouts...

Has anyone installed this on a 5.7? I have heard them on a 6.1 and they are awesome, I would really enjoy my remote start and a remote cutout too! The remote part is not to keep you from crawling under the car but rather allow you to open them from a distance while the car is idling normally.

Uhm yah, these thing are WIRELESS remote control.:bored:

What's the point of THAT.

I'll try to be clearer next time.
