Not sure where to post this, I haven't been on the forum in over a year. So if it needs to be moved, have at it mods...

I have a Diablosport tuner for 3.5 v6, that I did not get to reflash before I got rid of my car. Can I reload my stock tune from the driver/software to the handheld and have it work or it is useless unless I pay Diablosport to reflash?

I'd like to sell it if I can unmarry it, no point in having it since I got a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the Diesel....

Can I use the ol' up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, select, start...and get 30 extra tunes? Haha

Why, because they want to prevent someone from taking one Diablo and loading the tune on hundreds of cars?

My thoughts exactly. They would be poor businessmen if they let folks load custom tunes and then reset the tuner to do it again...and again.

$130 is cheap compared to the price of the tuner new.

I knew a guy that called and complained enough and they gave him the code or software to unlock it for free. He then sold that code many times for many dollars on a forum. Methinks it was a Mustang. Yet another reason Charger owners are superior....

Hmmm. That code would only work on his unit since it is based on the serial number. No one else could use it.

Something in this story doesn't sound right.

Perhaps he tuned multiple vehicles using his unit?

Either way, it shows why DS charges for this service. They would be profoundly stupid to give it away for free.

Trying to get around DS and cheat them would be equally stupid. If someone succeeded, then DS could go out of business and then no more aftermarket tunes for us on future models.

He could have been lying. It's entirely possible. And right you are, if you're good at something, never do it for free.
