Your car is AWD?

This means it's 81° and the roads are fine so only RWD is engaged.

Is that real? It switches based on road conditions?
Yes.

It's all but 70% rear and 30% front even when AWD is engaged. I believe it's around 30 degrees and below that AWD engages automatically. Above that, it depends on traction.

So yes, the majority of the time with the AWD model you are driving in RWD.

The 44-40 case is variable and should be able to send close to 50% to the front end. There isn't any differential or anything in the case, just a clutch pack that the computer controls to engage the front. So between 0% to ~50% front depending on conditions.

For civilian AWD Chargers, I believe the following applies:

AWD will activate when:
*Ambient temp drops to 39 degrees or below
*Windshield wipers are activated
*Auto stick is in use
*A traction control/ESP event occurs
Activating Sport Mode (if equipped)
-I knew I was forgetting one of them.-

All of this is explained in your Owner's Manual, if you don't have one download it at Dodge.com.
