When I purchased my retired 2012 Dodge Charger Pursuit, this upgrade kit came with it. This is a full upgrade from police rear doors to civilian rear doors. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Rear doors not unlocking when exiting driver side.

When I open the driver side door, it unlocks the passenger door but not the rears. It is a 2012 Pursuit that I did this conversion on. I have to physically push the unlock button and the rears will unlock. It really seems like they should unlock when I open the driver side door. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have tried to install the conversion kit, but now the cable from the actuator to the outside handle seems as if it is too short and the mechanism can not reset after opening. Do you have any idea what is causing this problem?

Thanks for the link, but my problem is not electrical, it is mechanical. The cable from the outside handle to the latch is now too tight not allowing the lock mechanism to reset. I am thinking of adding a connector to the end of the cable so that it is long enough. Funny though, as the doors opened from the outside before I tried this upgrade.

Below I have a photo of the cable in the outside handle slot. I also have a photo of what the cable looks like in the actuator slot. You can see that it is pulling down the lever too far. The final photo is with the cable connect, but not in the anchoring slot. This is what the rest position should look like when the cable is properly seated (at least that is what I think). I can not figure out what is wrong.

Hi,

Is this possible to do it the other way?
From civilian to pursuit style?

A friend of mine is using a charger sxt as an unmarked law enforcement car and ask me if its possible?

Thanks

I have a 2015 pursuit and would like to know two things:

Where do I get rear door conversion kits?

How do I connect the center counsel from a stock car to the pursuit harness? There are two identical connectors. One from counsel harness and one from car dash harness.

Thank you for any anticipated assistance

John45 - I had the exact same issue and you hit it dead on. Stumped 3 auto parts store guys, the Dodge dealer, and a salvage yard.

Used the rear door activation kit (came with the car when they decommissioned it), and put it back together - door stuck shut. So I tried the other side, but this time, experimented with the latch before putting it back together. Same thing. Would get stuck "shut".

Finally found out it's what you're saying - the exterior door handle cable is the culprit. If the latch is stuck in the closed position, you can unseat the light blue part of the cable housing from the white bracket, which then lets the lever fully retract back and "reset" the latch. Then pull on the cable... latch opens.

You just have to be really careful that this cable isn't too tight. In my case, the housing broke from the blue plastic part, and that one millimeter or so is enough to not let it retract back enough and "reset" the latch.

Laumannlaw:
Kit is from nenno-products (.com), or just buy a door at a salvage yard for the same price and rip out the guts.

Center console:
Any regular console from the similar model range of years will fit, but the floor shift will be missing.

I had this problem too. The cable to the interior handle that came with the conversion kit is definitely short. It won't allow the latch to fully retract and "reset".

Also, the outside door lock cable (which was already on the car is a culprit too once you install the interior handle cable.

Here's the weirdest one: After the conversion kit is installed, it all works fine UNTIL you hit the door locks. Then unlock... and the back doors won't open, from the inside or outside. Bizarre.

The kit seems to mess things up - I'm ordering new door parts off ebay and going back to all original parts instead.

To get by in the meantime, remove the interior door handle, and let the cable stick out from the inside of the door, into the car. At least you can tug on that and get the door open.
