I am the proud owner of a 2009 Dodge Charger Police HD and am I am in the process of installing the rear door linkage so it can be opened from the inside. I have run into some trouble however.
First, I have searched on this forum and LX forum and have found some help regarding door panel removal. That is great and very explanatory. The only main issue I am having is installing the Door Lock Plunger (part you pull up and down) into the door clip. Where is this last door linkage clip? I've pulled the panel off and the plastic shield and have an exposed open door but cannot locate any schematics or PDfs of the service manual to help find this last linkage pin. I found the long linkage pin and have successfully attached, but cannot locate the door plunger pin.
I'm familiar with what you are talking about. I removed mine, and it was very hard to reach the clips that hold them in place. Are you talking about the pin that the door lock knob twists on?
That is the part. Try this, stick the pin upwards in the door panel once you get it off. Move the panel towards the door and you will see a tiny hole where it should go in. It should be a blue (or colored) plastic clip that holds it in. You may have to swivel it into position. I don't have any pics to reference, but I think you should be able to locate it.
If not, go to the dealer and get a printout of the door panel assembly/skin. Tell them you are looking to see how the part goes and they may can save you some time. I remember I got a printout of the front door before I did my conversion a while back.
